Organizational Coaching
Supporting People Who Support, Lead & Work With Others
At Collective Growth Counselling, we offer individual and group coaching for professionals, leaders, managers, and teams looking to strengthen their communication, leadership, and relational skills.
Our coaching approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and reflective. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, we create space to explore real workplace experiences, identify challenges, develop practical strategies, and strengthen skills that can be carried into everyday professional interactions.
Coaching can be offered independently or as a continuation of our Trauma-Informed Training & Workshops, providing participants with ongoing opportunities to integrate and apply what they have learned.
1:1 Professional Coaching
Individual coaching provides dedicated space for professionals, managers, and leaders to reflect on their work, explore challenges, and develop practical skills with the support of a coach.
Sessions are collaborative and tailored to the individual’s professional context, responsibilities, and goals.
Coaching may focus on areas such as:
-
Trauma-informed leadership and practice
-
Communication and interpersonal skills
-
Navigating challenging conversations
-
Leadership development
-
Boundaries and sustainable helping practices
-
Managing workplace relationships
-
Power dynamics and positional authority
-
Conflict and communication challenges
-
Supporting staff and team members
-
Applying empathy while maintaining professional boundaries
-
Intercultural communication and cultural humility
-
Integrating trauma-informed principles into everyday practice
Coaching provides a reflective space to examine situations from different perspectives, strengthen existing skills, and develop approaches that align with both professional responsibilities and personal values.
Group Coaching
Learn, Reflect & Grow Together
Group coaching provides teams and colleagues with a collaborative space to explore workplace challenges, strengthen communication, and learn from one another's experiences.
Unlike a workshop, where facilitators introduce structured educational content to a larger group, coaching is smaller, conversational, and responsive to what participants bring into the space.
Participants can bring real workplace situations, reflect on what happened, explore different perspectives, and practice new ways of responding.
Group coaching can be particularly valuable for:
-
Managers and leadership teams
-
Frontline and client-facing teams
-
Community and social-service professionals
-
Teams implementing trauma-informed practices
-
Teams navigating organizational or interpersonal challenges
-
Staff who have recently completed one of our workshops
Topics may include communication challenges, leadership, boundaries, team dynamics, difficult conversations, power dynamics, empathy, trauma-informed practice, and other situations relevant to participants' work.
Group Size
Group coaching is designed for small groups of up to 6 participants, allowing enough space for meaningful participation, reflection, and discussion.
For larger groups, please contact us to discuss training or facilitation options.
From Training to Practice
Learning doesn't end when a workshop does.
Organizations can combine our Trauma-Informed Training & Workshops with individual or group coaching to provide participants with continued opportunities to practice, reflect, and integrate their learning.
For example:
Workshop → Practice → Reflection → Integration
Participants may complete a trauma-informed communication workshop and then participate in a series of coaching sessions where they bring real situations from their work, explore what worked and what felt challenging, and continue developing their communication skills.
This approach can be particularly valuable for organizations working toward longer-term changes in workplace culture and trauma-informed practice.
Coaching Packages for Organizations
Organizations can purchase coaching packages for an individual employee, manager, or leader, or arrange a series of group coaching sessions for a team.
Coaching can also be incorporated into a broader organizational learning plan alongside our workshops.
We are happy to collaborate with organizations to determine a structure that reflects their team's needs, goals, and available resources.
Our Approach
Our coaching approach is grounded in:
Trauma-Informed Practice
Decolonial Perspectives
Cultural Humility
Curiosity & Reflection
Empathy & Connection
Collaborative Learning
Practical Skill Development
We recognize that professionals bring their own knowledge, experiences, identities, and strengths into their work. Our role is not to provide all the answers, but to create a collaborative space where participants can reflect, build awareness, explore possibilities, and develop strategies that feel meaningful and applicable to their professional lives.
Coaching vs. Counselling
While Collective Growth also provides counselling services, organizational coaching is not counselling or psychotherapy.
Coaching focuses on professional development, workplace experiences, communication, leadership, skill-building, and future-oriented goals.
When concerns extend beyond the scope of coaching or would be more appropriately supported through counselling or another professional service, we will communicate this transparently and support participants in identifying appropriate next steps.
