Hi, I’m Paola.
My work as a counsellor is guided by the belief that healing begins when we feel truly seen, heard, and accepted for who we are. I’m deeply inspired by community, inclusion, and diversity, and I hold a heartfelt commitment to creating spaces where people can come home to themselves, just as they are.
My work is centred around helping people heal from trauma, reconnect with themselves, and discover the freedom to live authentically. I believe that trauma often keeps people trapped, but through love and compassion, we can help break these barriers and create space for personal transformation. Moreover, I see counselling as a shared journey of discovery. Through curiosity, compassion, and a holistic approach, my goal is to support your process of healing, self-understanding, and personal freedom.
I take a person-centered and collaborative approach, integrating elements of CBT, DBT, Parts Work, and Somatic practices. Together, we explore what feels right and authentic for you, supporting your journey toward greater self-discovery, emotional regulation, and self-reliance.
Love, freedom, and compassion are the core values guiding everything I do. They shape the safe and inclusive spaces I create for healing, especially for those navigating oppression and marginalization, including BIPOC communities, immigrants, activists, 2SLGBTQIA+ folks, sex workers, and people with disabilities. Whether I’m supporting someone through grief, anxiety, or complex trauma, my focus is always on fostering authenticity, safety, and connection.
As a Spanish-speaking Immigrant and Queer counsellor in Vancouver, I understand how culture, identity, and belonging shape our stories. My hope is to offer a space where you can feel safe to be fully yourself — where love, acceptance, and healing can take root.
Beyond counselling, I find connection and grounding through yoga, community gatherings, and spiritual practice. These are the moments that remind me of what it means to be human: to feel deeply, to grow, and to be in relationship with others and the world around us.
